Should the scabs on a sheep make the shephard recoil?

Hola mi familia y amigos!!
¿Como estas? ¿Todo bien?
How are you? All is good?

We had conference this week!! So many cool things were said in this conference and sadly I don't have the time to write all of my thoughts down for you!! But I do have a couple things I wanted to point out!

I loved the talk from Elder Dale G. Renlund. He asked a vital question. Should the scabs on a sheep make the shephard recoil? He said, our Savior does not recoil from us, his diseased sheep who are in no way perfect. He did no walk the streets recoiling from the poor and needy people with disease. Instead he ate with them and helped them. I thought that was a beautiful thought. We strive to become like Jesus everyday of our lives right? At least missionaries do haha. But really why would we not strive to be someone like him? He helped everybody that he could because he was so charitable. Charity is the pure love of Christ so why not try to attain that in everything we do?

I had the opportunity to go on divisions again and we went to see a widow. She was not there but we saw a man carrying a tv down the stairs. We helped him and when we were done we taught him the gospel. He accepted the invite for baptism. I have a true testimony of charity. It is the light of Christ and people can really see that. I will write more next week I promise!!

I love you all!!!

Elder Whelan!

  1. This was great! We just listened to that same talk for our family Sunday night thought...it made me realize some of my poor attitudes that I need to repent of, and also how much the Savior really loves us. So much can be learned from the teachings of the Savior, and the good Shepard..just when you think you'be exhausted the topic, another powerful lesson can be learned!

The pictures in this post are so fun!
    Love the McNabbs
