Kissed on My Mission and A Special Message

Hey everyone!!!

Hey so just a couple highlights of my week.

1. We were doing an area attack in an area called Patzun and my companion and I entered a store to get some food. We see some people inside. A woman and her two children a little boy about 1 or 2 years old and a little girl about 4 or 5. I was looking for something to eat and I look at this little girl and she walks over to me. I tower over her and she beckons to me like she wants to say something to me (what courage haha). I bend down to listen to her and I feel a kiss on my cheek. I stand up again and think what just happened? Then I think with tears in my eyes, this is exactly what our brother Jesus Christ experienced. I literally almost cried it was such a special moment for me. Turns out this little girl is a member and she was showing her love to my companion and I. She didn't say a word, just a tender kiss that warmed this missionaries heart. Something that comes to mind is the purity of children. I love children with all my heart, no matter if they're stinkers. Their purity is so much more than even the strongest member in the church. Remember these special spirits. Build them, teach them, and love them with everything you have.

2. A lesson that my companion taught me is to have joy in the mission. I was down one day and I expressed my feelings to him. He taught me a lesson I wont forget. If you're feeling bad during the day or not motivated then you need to change your outlook on things. Find the joy in every moment. You are a member of the only true church on the face of the Earth. You are doing almost exactly what Jesus Christ did in his ministry. Find joy in everything and change what your'e doing to have that joy.

Sorry there isn't much this week, just some thoughts and ya know. I just want you all to know how much I love you. I may not know who is reading my emails but you literally have no idea the love I have for you. There is only one way you can truly feel this kind of love. Through applying the atonement in every moment and in true charity and humility serving the people of the Lord.

My challenge this week for you all is to find someone to serve. Find joy in serving. Find joy in the little moments that you have with your families and write it down. Write your testimony about the joy you feel in this church. You may or may not be a member of our church but that does not matter. Write your feelings of joy and profess that joy in prayer to our Father in Heaven. I promise you will feel an outpouring of the spirit and the love of God as you do so. I testify in the sacred and Holy name of my redeemer, Jesus Christ, Amen.
